Over 2.50,000 children are getting ready for a better future at HOPE foundation‘s schools, non-formal education programme and tuition centre’s. Most of our students come from economically disadvantaged families with no easy access to quality education.
Our education support programme, Cradle to Career, ensures that a child completes her education, is in good health and has a choice between higher studies or a vocation after school. The programme runs in seven places where over 2,500 children are on their way to finishing school.
The support of our corporate partners allows us to train, and place young men and women in Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Computer Applications, plumbing, masonry, electrical work, tailoring, and weaving.
Our medical teams serve in places where last-mile connectivity is an issue while referring patients to hospitals in case any process is invasive or requires surgery. Over 35,000 children, women and men have better healthcare with HOPE foundation.
Over 10,000 young people in India find better job opportunities with the help of HOPE foundation’s vocational training programmes every year.
We train them in tailoring, retail management, beauty care, housekeeping, paramedical training, cell phone repair, masonry and electrical work. The students also learn spoken English and life skills. Upon completing the course, we help them find jobs through placements and job fairs.
At HOPE foundation, we seek to give an enabling environment for entrepreneurship by establishing and strengthening networks of implementing social safety net services, providers of working capital, and participants from vulnerable groups.
Under our livelihood programme, we offer interest-free loans that allow us to nurture entrepreneurs, most of whom are women. This enables them to improve their economic independence and overall quality of life.
Our homes offer round-the-clock service to all the residents.
The residents at our homes include children and women affected by natural disasters and HIV/AIDS. While the children attend school, the adults learn vocational skills such as computers and tailoring. For recreation, they do gardening, learn photography, play sports or practice yoga.
HOPE foundation’s disaster management programme works with a three-pronged approach. We provide immediate relief such as food, water, medical aid, clothes and temporary shelter. Our mid-term measures include medical clinics, non-formal schooling and vocational training to help people get back to their lives. Finally, we stay around to help the people rebuild their lives – through schools, skills training centres and small loan programmes to help them start new livelihoods.
We are working inclusively for the holistic development of children, youth and vulnerable individuals.
Our ‘Cradle to Career’ approach focuses on transforming lives where we walk alongside an individual on the entire journey – through childhood education and care towards skill training and livelihood as an adult.
